Meet our team

Many people have built their careers in this business, progressing from engineering roles to team leader and management positions. With a clear focus on mechanical and electrical services for bars, restaurants and hotels, our company is expanding fast and opportunities exist for more people to succeed here.

Andrew Marshall
Electrical Reactive

I’ve been involved in projects, reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance since I joined DPP in 2007. I came with experience from the electrical department at a leading department store chain and knowledge of electrical works installation for kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.

I enjoy the wide variety of activities involved with electrical installations within our sector. Good communication and team work is what helps you succeed, as well the right technical knowledge.

Mike Palliser
Gas Technical Manager
Quality Assurance

I joined DPP in 2002 having been a heating engineer. In my role today I oversee quality control and gas regulation compliance throughout the mechanical side of DPP.

You have to be quick thinking and quick acting to work here and have the ability to deliver under pressure. Client operation and safety is paramount.

As a company we’re going from strength to strength with a real passion to expand.

John Coulter
Health and Safety

I manage safety within all areas of operation and ITC Management, having previously worked as a health and safety auditor on local authority projects and as operations manager at a manufacturing and distribution organisation.

DPP does what it promises – delivers a dependable and quality service, at the place it’s needed, when it’s needed.

Hayley Jennings
Operations Controller
Electrical Reactive

I started at DPP in 2011. I’m involved in estimating, ordering, coordination with engineers, signing off paperwork, booking jobs, sourcing parts and liaising with customers.

Computer and spreadsheet knowledge is essential for the role as well as parts and technical knowledge.

DPP people are really hard working and accommodating of customer needs and the company is growing really fast.

Martin Kendall

I build relationships with our suppliers to ensure they have a good understanding of DPPs’ needs which means having the right stock in the right quantities, available when our customers need them. I also have to negotiate preferential prices.

Client focus is absolutely essential to doing the job well, as is flexibility, planning, excellent interpersonal skills and communication.

DPP is very client driven and has vision. It’s motivating to work in an empowered and evolving environment.

Tracey Austin
Senior Helpdesk

There’s a huge amount of detail involved in my role whether it’s managing helpdesk and emergency call out emails, distributing rotas, updating client internet portholes or monitoring completion of projects.

To succeed here you have to work well in a team and take individual initiative.

We work hard at what we do internally and externally, which has helped us grow so much since we began 30 years ago.

Paul Barber
Mechanical Reactive

I’ve been working for DPP since 2009, visiting sites to attend to breakdowns in plumbing, heating and hot water and to resolve gas incidents.

As well as having the right technical qualifications you have to know health and safety procedures and have the communication skills to deal with clients well.

At DPP, we really care about the quality of work we do and attending to client needs.

Marie Hubbard
Helpdesk & Administration

I joined DPP in 2000 and now I jointly manage the smooth running of our helpdesk and operations, ensuring all our targets are met and addressing customer queries. Prior to joining I worked at British Gas Southern.

Attention to detail is an important part of the role, as is consistency in performance, working to deadlines, being approachable and problem solving.

What I like most about this business is the progression it enables and the security it provides. And definitely the people.

George Lee
Mechanical Reactive

I joined DPP as an apprentice in 1993 and now I’m an engineer handling heating, hot water and gas breakdowns, having gained all the necessary qualifications.

It’s a great place to work. There’s a really friendly atmosphere and people are very supportive. I’ve learned a lot from colleagues as well as through training courses.

Nick Corn
Air Conditioning Reactive

I joined DPP in 2013. My role is focused on air conditioning installations. As well as air conditioning skills, I’ve got gas and refrigeration knowledge and have previously worked as a refrigeration engineer.

I’m impressed by the full range of maintenance DPP covers – all types of repairs from boilers to air conditioning. It’s also a really happy atmosphere to work in which makes a big difference.
