DPP has completed the installation and setup of new IT platforms which include hosted exchange, hosted applications, servers, off site replication servers, resilient fibre and cloud backup.
The program was rapidly implemented to support the recent roll out of smart phones and applications to over 200 directly employed engineers. Proactive planning was required to migrate over 300 email accounts and operational applications to a hosted environment, while minimising down time to ensure continued operational services to our clients.
These new IT platforms support the operational reliance on IT with resilient email, applications, back office fibre connections and data backup.
James King, Financial Director, commented:
"We squeezed a 12 month program into 3 months while maintaining the use of critical IT operations to all engineers throughout the project. This was a fantastic team effort from back office to engineers overcoming the challenges during this period. The new platforms provide the base for future client needs and ours whilst giving DPP's clients reliable services which depend on IT for real time reporting and feedback."
